VAT Exemption

What is VAT relief?

VAT is a tax paid by consumers when purchasing goods and services within the European Union. For items that are used to help, assist or aid long term medical conditions this tax can be removed.

Am I eligible for VAT relief?

In order to be eligible for VAT relief the person who will be using the item(s) must be ‘chronically sick or disabled’, with the purchased items being for personal or domestic use.

This will be self-declared by the end user, or someone on behalf of the end-user, either through our online checkout process or over the phone. This requires providing us with a specific medical condition.

What can I save?

Since January 2011 the standard rate for VAT in the UK has been 20%. As such, consumers can enjoy a 20% saving on their purchases if they are eligible.

Not all products on our website are VAT exempt, as such we have clearly highlighted which products are VAT exempt, and which are not. Look out for our indicator signal...

VAT must be charged on postage and packaging, even if VAT exemption is applied to the product.
